Founded in 2011, KAAÅS is a piano trio formed of three talented musicians. The trio includes violinist Annemarie Åström, cellist Ulla Lampela and pianist Tiina Karakorpi.
The musicians of the KAAÅS Trio are happy to return to Clara Schumann's fine Piano Trio. When she composed the piece, 27-year-old Clara was a mother of four children who had just gone through difficult life stages.
KAAÅS-trion soittavat ovat onnellisia saadessaan palata Clara Schumannin hienon pianotrion pariin. Säveltäessään pianotrioa 27-vuotias Clara oli raskaita elämänvaiheita juuri läpikäynyt neljän lapsen äiti.
The late-romantic, passionate and distinctive musical language of the pianist-composer Amy Beach, who had an impact in Boston, has been neglected in concert programs. KAAÅS Trio are excited to be able to perform two songs from Beach repertoire with soprano Mari Palo in Oulu.
The name of the KAAÅS Trio describes their life situations in the founding year. All of them had small children at home at that time and it was important for the trio to understand the chaotic nature of life together.
